There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
130th Celebrations 4-5 October 2025
It was wonderful to see so many people come along during the middle weekend of the holidays to celebrate our school being in operation for 130 years.
Past and current students were able to make their way around the school to look at a variety of displays. These included the 130th Room which showcased a range of memorabilia from Finley Public School’s 130 years of history. This room enabled people to reminisce on past days at Finley Public School.
There was a variety of digital displays of past students and staff and a variety of photo slideshows displaying activities students are involved in in more recent times.
We must say a huge thank you to:
- Jade Camden for volunteering her time to provide musical entertainment throughout the day. A special mention to Jade for leading our students and Mrs Taig in a rendition of the school song,
- Sharyn from SJ White's Delights for the amazing cake,
- Anewa and Karen from Wren Floralista for the donation of beautiful bouquets,
- Rebecca from Odessi Coffee for being onsite to cater for hot beverages,
- Jake and Bree from Rub N Smoke for catering with meals and cold drinks.
The 130th Room is still set up, if you were not able to get to the celebration, but would like to have a look in there, please contact the office to make a time to come in and look around.

Term 3 Highlights
The visit from the 2025 B to B Variety Bash was a highlight for all students and staff!
They stopped for lunch at the Finley Apex Sports and Community Centre and were looked after with a great lunch by our P&C and their amazing group of volunteers.

Intensive Swimming
Our Year 2-6 Students participate in a 5 day intensive swimming program each year.
Swimming Carnival
All students attend our annual Swimming Carnival.
Life Education
Each year we welcome a visit from Healthy Harold and the Life Education Van.
