Debating and public speaking.
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the opportunity to advance and compete in local and state competitions.
Cultural and Language Activities
Our school takes pride in hosting cultural activities to engage students in traditional dances, cooking and games.
Excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Tournament of the Minds
Our school participates in the NSW Tournament of Minds competition. TOM's is an international educational program challenging students to develop problem solving skills in teams with the ir peers.
IN 2024 Finley Public School placed 1st in our Region (Wagga) for the Language and Literature Section our students went on to particpate in the State Final In Sydney.
Beach to Bush
Each year we host Surf Lifesaving NSW to deliver the Beach to Bush Program. The educational program helps to expose primary school aged students to important beach, ocean and water safety safety messages.
Grip Student Leadership Conference
Our Year 6 Leadership group attend the GRIP Leadership Conference. The conference aims to give students the skills to use as school leaders in their roles to lead their peers and school with confidence.
